Evri Stopped Giving Paper Receipts?

Dropped off some items at a local shop, today, and was promptly told that Evri no longer give paper receipts. They asked me for my email address, but I didn't have my glasses with me, or indeed could remember it. It seems like a really backward step that we now have to stop and type in an address and one mistake and we don't get a receipt. 

Has anyone tried  creating a OR code of their email and see if that works? 

Seems nuts to me that we now have to wander about with a QR code, when the original paper system worked just fine. 

I might have to stop using Evri in future.

Yes, they stopped paper receipts recently.   You can opt out of using them if you like - here:

I might try the idea of a QR code and if that doesn't work then I may well give up with Evri.
