Hi everyone
I made a small purchase today and have recieved an email from ebay ( I think ) stating that a new device is using my account to make a purchase and is based in Buckinghamshire. It also said I should renew my password which I did a short while ago so really not needed in my opinion. Well the purchase is mine but I am based in North Lincolnshire. The auto customer help thing was useless, have any of you had a similar email message and what action did you take if any.
Phil

We all get these, not just on ebay.
If shows your ISP location, as long as you are happy it was you logged in to ebay at the time, no worries.

No exactly a message received, but when logging in, members, myself included, receive this odd and at first worrying notification, that you are logging in from an area which is clearly not yours.
I've received this in the past. telling me log in is being made from Birmingham, and I live on the South Coast.
As long as the time you are logging in is correct, then all is well, no need to change passwords, no need to do anything else.
