Ebay

I posted an expensive item the buyer opened a case and eBay will not help me. Be aware this can happen to anybody using eBay.

Not wise to use the word criminal and accuse eBay of stealing, this is a public forum, eBay may not take too kindly to slander.

eBay have not stolen your money,  what has happened?  Tell us exactly and we can maybe help you.

If you sold an expensive item you should have use the correct insurance against loss or damage, did you do this?  Tracking has to show delivery or a buyer can open and win any case for item not received,  you then claim your money back from Royal Mail / courier used.

eBay has not stolen your money. What they appear to have done is to enforce a refund to a buyer who claimed they only received a piece of metal instead of the £1100 iPhone they bought from you. You gave eBay the power to do this in the user agreement.

Unfortunately disputes of ths sort are not uncommon on eBay. eBay doesn't see the items concerned either as sent or as received so it's hard for them to know who's tellng the truth. Sometimes both are, if parcels are tampered with in delivery. No-one would disagree that selling (or buying) high value phones on eBay is risky.

Without knowing exactly what happened and how you responded to the case it's impossible to suggest what, if anything, you may be able to do about it at this stage.

Buying three items from your buyer in order to leave retaliatory negative feedbacks has only made things worse. It will further damage your account if they are reported and removed by eBay, as I imagine they will be.
