Ebay tracking not updating at all

I sold an item and posted it the next day using Simple Delivery. The Evri tracking is moving on normally, collected (from shop) , at the senders depot, at the hub etc. but on Ebay tracking it only says "Tracking number supplied". I wouldn't have been too concerned but it's now saying make sure to despatch it by the 19th when it was despatched yesterday and is working its way through Evri's system. There used to be a button to say "despatched" but that has disappeared too. Will this cause a defect on my account?

Tracking can take time to update on eBay as obviously the carrier has to send the information to them If its a simple delivery item and that number is in the system then thats fine, any other problems you refer eBay to the carriers website.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. The ebay tracking did finally update today. Never seen it this slow before.  Crisis diverted.
