“Buying from China”
If seller operating in UK try your payment provider. If item comes from China any warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on.

What did you expect? If you have never read the conditions for buyer protection, see: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee?id=4...
Quote: "Your purchase is covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the estimated or actual delivery date".

YES OK , very helpful reply , I bet it make you feel good to put fellow e bayers in their place when things go wrong by quoting rules etc which probably 80% haven't bothered reading , so I am guilty as charged. personally and I would think 90% of the buyers here would agree that in the uk something like this item would have protection for at least 12 months as is the norm , but E bay dont give two f**ks about that

With respect, if buyers aren't asking themselves how their payments are protected and not noticing the '30 days ' in eBay's money back guarantee/buyer protection, then whose fault is that?
I doubt if 90% of buyers believe that they have a 12 month warranty when buying from an online selling platform such as eBay, Etsy, Vinted (who give buyers 2 days to raise an issue with an item), it's certainly not 'the norm', but if they do wrongly assume that at least they'll know next time. It's all a learning curve.
