EBay robbing me for postage I paid for!!

Ive just sold a guitar and EBays useless postal service is basically pathetic as the size & costs don't reflect guitars in cases. To that end I have paid my local music shop £25 to send the guitar fully insured via FedEx to the buyer, who is in agreements as this is the best way to protect said item. When I look on projected sales, EBay has taken £7.27 in postage for a service & label I obviously have'nt used. Surprise surprise, there is noting in any of the help items to cover this and impossible to find a number to speak to anyone! Their postage farce is really infuriating & not fit for purpose with anything other than small parcels!!!!

It was a bit optimistic thinking that a guitar in a case could be shipped within the UK for £7.27!

Is this a Simple Delivery label? If so, because you offered free postage you should be able to claim that back. eBay's guidance says:

  • you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form (link below) for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.

To process your refund, we'll verify the following:

    • The label was paid for by you (you offered free shipping to the buyer).
    • The refund request is created within 14 days from the item's sale.
    • The label wasn't used within 14 days of the item's sale.
    • The package was delivered using a different tracking number.

If your request meets all these conditions, you'll receive a refund for the shipping cost.
