I do hope that someone from E-bay is reading this and can defend how the people who monitor "reporting" deal with reporting of inappropriate or not allowed items.
E-bay is littered with sellers who are mis-representing e-books as physical books by listing them in the same category as physical books, describing the condition as new, and offering courier delivery, misleading buyers in doing so.
When I report these under the "electronically delivered items" category, they are always removed, but this can only be done for individual items, not for entire inventories. Some sellers have inventories of literally THOUSANDS of books, mostly current or recent books which don't exist in e-book format, so probably also breach copyright laws (another reporting category I've tried, which again is NEVER supported or recognised by E-bay)
When I attempt to match any of the inappropriate listing activity reporting categories to the seller, or their inventory as a whole, there doesn't seem to be anything that matches, and invariably E-bay representatives don't seem to realise this as an issue.
Mostly the feedback for these sellers is poor, due to several buyers having been mislead.
I begin to think that the revenue E-bay gains from these activities outweighs and influences their will to stop these scammers.
