Hello bought two e bikes in November 2024. Had an email 10 days ago from e bay to say there is safety issues with the items and to contact seller. Contacted the seller and reply was no problem with item it was a report from a competitor. Not happy with response so contacted manufacturer they do say there is a problem (wont say what) but to contact the seller. Item on my history now says product removed due to a violation. Cant speak with anyone at E bay, seller not interested, Could be riding around on a ticking bomb. Help

Are they a business seller?
If so talk to citizens advice regarding contacting trading standards.

Yes they are a seller. A facebook group says they got a refund from Amazon but trying to speak to E bay is impossible. I will try citizens advice. Thanks

eBay will pass on product recall notices, but their own money back guarantee only lasts for 30 days. After that, eBay has no interest.
It will be too late now to get from your credit or debit card issuer, even if that's how you paid.
Citizens Advice may be able to suggest more than we can, as you can give them more information about the seller that you can provide here. You have discovered the hard way that buying from unknown sellers on eBay isn't like buying from the shops.
To be fair, eBay did warn you in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". So you knew the risks you were taking. Would you have bought these e-bikes from a shop that said this? eBay is a jungle.
