Disappearing view total

Ok, something very strange is going on with an active listing, I actually noticed this last week when the item was listed prioly and now it's happening again. Three days ago my item had had 11 views then the day after when I checked on it, it said item views were 10 then not five minutes ago I checked on it again and now it's saying item views are 9. If 11 people view your listed item those views STAY they do not diminish unless the item duration has run its course and is automatically relisted, that has not happened so, why is the amount of views dropping instead of either staying at 11 'or going up as more people view, has anyone else noticed this happening?

It is weird and can be disconcerting,  but the view count on listings may go down if:

some of the recorded views are by bots - the ebay system filters most of these out as they happen, but there is a daily deeper scan done, which may show up further bot views, which when they are removed may cause a reduction in the views total.

for BIN listings, the page view total only covers views in the previous 30 days, so if a listing has been active for longer than that, the number of new views may reduce as the listing ages, which will cause the views total to shrink.
