Hi, I used Royal Mail to send a small package instead of eBay’s new prepaid labels but there was nowhere to add tracking as before. I have proof the package has been delivered but it’s showing as ‘overdue for posting’ still on my account. There’s literally no where to manually put the tracking number in. How do I get it to update as being posted and delivered?

You may need to generate the original eBay label but not use it to add the tracking, your buyer will be refunded if they paid for delivery,if you had free delivery-seller pays you need to request a refund for the unused label within 14 days https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

You should be able to edit the tracking. Look for the 'edit tracking' link next to the sold item in your orders.

Hi, sorry but it literally doesn’t have the option any longer to input the tracking reference number. You used to be able to scan it or put it in manually. There is now nowhere to do it anywhere, I’ve searched all over the place 😥

You may need a laptop / PC and try with Chrome, that combo seems to work best then to manually update the tracking:

Hi, I have proof that it’s been delivered via the tracking reference number and message from the buyer. However only funds available are the cost of item as ‘due for post’ message is stopping the postage from looking as if it’s been used/ sent.

You don't get paid the postage element with Simple Delivery.

Is it the T shirt you sold on the 5th August?
If so the buyer paid for the postage label and will be refunded that by eBay in 30 days if unused

You chose not to use it but your buyer paid £2.70 for the label.
They paid this direct to Ebay so, eventually, because the label wasn't used, Ebay will refund your buyer that amount.
Is there any reason you didn't use Simple Delivery? You can choose to use Royal Mail only and, if you don't have a printer, the Post Office will scan the QR code and print the label for you.
Then, you aren't paying out of your own pocket for postage, and the tracking will be automatically added to your sale.

eBay will only refund the postage amount unless the buyer opened a claim for item not received which you could defend with your tracking.

Sorry but there is literally nowhere to edit the tracking either on phone or PC. ( I know there used to be) I’ve decided to use the label and send the buyer a free gift so at least it now shows as dispatched. I would have lost out some cash either way but at least my account hasn’t got a bad review on it and the buyer was happy.
