Defective charger/cable in "fully working" listing, seller refuses responsibility, eBay won’t help

Hello everyone,
I received the camera one month ago but didn’t open it immediately. When I finally checked it, I found the charger and USB cable were completely rusted and non-functional. The listing clearly stated that everything was working, but these key accessories were defective from the start.
I tried to open a return case just 3 days after the 30-day window, but the seller refused immediately. I then contacted eBay customer support, but they said they couldn’t assist because the return period had expired. The seller has ignored all my messages and refuses to take any responsibility for sending a defective item.
Has anyone here had a similar experience with a defective item sold as working, even slightly outside the return window? Any advice on what I can do next would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
