Damaged returns

Help!

I sent out two Epos terminal to a buyer. The buyer claimed one was damaged in transit.

the item where well packed so as not to allow movement with in the box. The box was undamaged on delivery. Yet I have a returned item that has sustained a heavy blow to cause the damage the item has sustained.

I believe the item has been dropped after the buyer opened the box and removed the items but is claiming damage during delivery. Where do I stand?

I think it is just as likely that something (very) heavy was dropped or chucked onto your parcel.

Delivery drivers do not treat your parcels with respect.

You have no evidence that the buyer damaged their purchase so really, if they have opened a case for return, you will have to deal with it by offering a partial refund or accepting the return.

Damaged returns

I thank you for your reply, i agree there is no proof but the parcel shows no sign of damage whatsoever in fact I received the item back in the very same packaging and the bubble wrap that was round and in the packaging was not damaged. Nothing else on the box was damaged or marked. It’s my opinion that the item was not damaged in transit.
I have reported the issue to EBay I’ll await there outcome.

Damaged returns

If the buyer has opened a case, remember that you have 48 hours to refund them after you get the items back.

After that, they can ask Ebay to step in and refund them from your funds.

You have no evidence that the buyer dropped the item and Ebay tend to support the buyer.

Was the return done through a case?
