Hi, I’ve recently sold an item, it has arrived with the buyer but damaged, damaged during postal delivery, can anyone please advise? It was sent with Royal Mail 48 tracked through simple post, I have issued a full refund, can anyone advise about my options, if any??
Thank you..

Simple Delivery covers you against this sort of claim.

If the buyer had opened a return/claim stating that the item had been damaged in transit, Ebay would have refunded them.

As you have refunded, and you sent using Simple Delivery, I don't think you can claim from Royal Mail.
