I purchased a watch which was dispatched by EBay default courier company DPD. To cut a long story short don’t ever use DPD. They failed to even get near making a delivery 3 times even after paying extra for a vip time slot. I am now overseas with work so unfortunately have to request the watch is sent back to the seller and get a refund. Feel really sorry for the seller as they have been great. I opened a case up with eBay but they still think the courier is going to try again. But that is now not an option as I’m overseas. I need to ensure DPD get informed by EBay to get the parcel returned asap. EBay call backs will not work due to my overseas location. I can’t add any extra info to the case file either. Any clues guys

eBay won't get involved in contacting DPD. As you have opened a case with eBay you will just have to pursue it with eBay. A slight worry is that if the courier records that delivery was attempted eBay's policy is or used to be to treat attempted delivery as being successfully delivered. Thankfully this bizarre and self-contradictory policy seems no longer to be stated in the revised money back guarantee.
You haven't told us whether this was a business or a private seller. Assuming that eBay finds in your favour, if the seller is a business they will be responsible for replying to the case. If it's a private seller and they used eBay's simple delivery eBay, will be responsible.
In either case, if you don't get a satisfactory respnse within3 working days you may need to escalate the case for eBay to step in. As you obviously have internet connectivity you can do this from abroad.
Deliveries and returns have become more complicated, your case especially so. According to how things progress, don't hesitate to ask for advice here again.

Hopefully, you have kept the seller in the loop and they know the watch is on its way back to them.
Was it an expensive watch with the authenticity guarantee?

The watch will go back to the authenticators then as that will be the address DPD has.
Hopefully, they will return it to the seller.
There is a chance they (authenticators) may simply send it back out to you.

Even though you are away from home, I would suggest you watch the DPD tracking and communicate with the seller.
