I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar, because this has me really concerned.
I sold an item (an umbrella) on eBay. DHL was booked to collect it, but the parcel is still at my house — no one ever came to pick it up. Despite that, DHL’s tracking shows the item as collected from me and delivered to my buyer.
The buyer then received a ripped package containing a completely different product (a door access sensor). To make things worse, the label on that package listed my address as the collection point, even though my parcel never left my home.
This looks like either a serious error or tampering within DHL’s subcontractor network. I’ve raised a complaint with DHL, but I’m worried this is more than just a simple mistake.
Has anyone else had DHL mark parcels as collected/delivered when they were never actually picked up? And if so, how did you handle it with both DHL and eBay to protect yourself?
