Customer cancelled help

Hi im newish to selling on here. And would like some help on this matter.

Basically they made an offer. I counter offered then they counter offered again.

Then I accepted.  Now they're cancelling but as I try to press accept its going to cost me an extra £54 to do this.. I haven't got this and why should I be charged this ontop of the funds thats pending from what they've paid..

Do I send still or what shall I do ? Im trying to talk through to Ebay im so unsure how to sort this.its costing me more to not sell it.so im very confused.

When I went to message them to find out what's the reason a notification on the chat said they've contacted Ebay about it due to it being simple delivery

When I asked them they said their child ordered by accident.. different to what their cancellation was.

Just abit worried on this and of what im to do next .do I send it ? How to get hold of Ebay?

Customer cancelled help

It doesn't cost anything to cancel.   What it might be is ebay will take the refund from the payment method you have registered, and then you keep the buyer's payment when it clears.

Customer cancelled help

Heya thankyou for responding appreciate it. but its saying itll take the
payment thats pending and ontop £54 from my bank.. the item was a tablet so
it was £375 . And thats there but on top is charging me £54 so it wont
allow me to accept their cancellation unless I pay the £54 . I just dont
get it .the whole reason why I was selling was due to low income now its
made me worse off.

Did you have a listing upgrade on the item or any other item,  for example a reserve on that  tablet?

A reserve is the most expensive of upgrades and costs a non refundable listing fee of 4% of the set reserve, and is payable sale or no sale , although that still doesn't equate to £54?  🤔

I would contact eBay Customer Services,  but do so only first thing when lines first open at 9 a.m. on weekends and 8 a.m. on weekdays,  that's when lines open for ' live agents' , and at that time there's more chance of Dublin answering,  only speak to them !  It's a Call Back option so you'll hear if it's the dulcet tones of the Emerald Isles.

There must be some listing fee which needs to be paid , CS can see and explain this, because there is no fee for cancelling an item!

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
