Credit Card charged

Hi there,

I've been charged by Ebay  for the following amount £14.00 and there's not even a corresponding transaction made for that amount which I've been charged for.  The transaction details states the 'business type' as 'Department Stores'?

Anyone have any idea how I might be able to tackle this issue or explain what I've been charged for?

thankyou

Have you added any optional listing upgrades to current or past listings.  There are no seller fees for Private sellers now,  but the following all have a non refundable listing fee, payable sale or no sale.

Reserves: 4% of the set reserve ( maximum £150 per item)

Subtitles: £2

Listing in 2 catagories: 35p

Gallery Plus: £2.50 ( free for clothes and shoes)

Listings with duration 1 - 3 days 35p

Selling a vehicle has an immediate insertion fee payable of £14.99 or £19.99 for a Classified ad. Payable sale or no sale.

As a tip, before clicking on the final List Item With Displayed Fees button,  glance just above it,  it should read £0.00 Listing Fee.

If there is a fee amount listed there,  you have selected an upgrade,  and if you wish,  it gives you time to scroll up and remove the payable upgrade.

Check a breakdown of any fees charged here:

If the above doesn't answer your question contact eBay Customer Services who have access to your account and can explain any fee for you.  Their lines are open now.

This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

If you can't identify anything that ebay have charged you for then you need to report this as an unauthorised transaction to your credit card co.  Your account (not your ebay one) may have been hacked.
