Complaint About Ebays AI

I was about to but a diecast model, advertised as a Bell UH-1 helicopter. On closer inspection it is described incorrectly in several places. It is a completely different model, a Mi-24 Hind.

I raised this with EBays automated systems.

The result - their AI decided (3 times) that there was nothing wrong with the description.

Clearly THERE IS!

Clearly AI is INCAPABLE of recognising or resolving this issue.

Can I now get any contact with EBay about this...... NO!

How do I make a complaint against EBay without being rebuked multiple times by the Chat Bot???

Truly, let me politely save you time and patience by advising you Not to take this further with eBay and their super  (in)efficient bots in Customer Service !

All seasoned members here will not argue with you,  and confirm that AI descriptions are sadly lacking in skill in describing accurately  the item being listed!

They work on, and many a time badly,  with the item specifics entered, and when it comes to something like your lovely and not the usual item for sale, they are shall we say... flummoxed!

Don't contact CS,  there's nothing they can say,  or do to change / improve the AI system, just don't use it.

Peeps can also tell if it's a bot generated description,  or one that a seller has taken time and care to describe the actual item they are selling !

Thanks for the input.

I tried to contact the seller to help them so they could change their entry, but they refused.

So I thought I would raise a complaint levelled at the description.

I didn't choose to engage with AI, that is the only option/result that ebay provide.

I work in IT. AI is only as good as the program running it, written by a human.

Clearly, not good enough in this case!!
