Combining postage

I’m new to selling on eBay and people have been purchasing multiple items to the same adress but I didn’t know that you had to combine postage in order for it to all go through as one big order, what should I do ?

Combining postage

Combining postage is not working at the moment anyway.     Ask the buyers to pay in full then issue a partial refund via the dropdown arrow for one of the items on your orders page.   Click on Send Refund and you will be able to change the amount on the next page before you submit.

Combining postage

There is a big technical issue currently with members not being able to combine items, for a combined postage.

eBay are working on the issue they say,  but suggest after a buyer buys all the items, for you the seller to make a partial refund for the excess postage paid.

You may need a PC/laptop and not the app or mobile browser to do this,  Chrome and Firefox work best with eBay to make a partial refund.

If you are on My eBay Selling,  go right of the item sold and from More Actions select Refund this item.  Be careful to then add the correct amount of refund you wish to make,  or you will refund the whole amount.

If you are on the Seller Hub, click on the item in Orders >>  Posted and Awaiting your Feedback.   Then top left click on View Order details. Far right from More Actions Drop down menu,  you will see Refund this item.

One tip,  before you send the partial refund,  mark the item as dispatched,  there is a quirk in eBay's programming if you send a partial refund first,  you then cannot mark as dispatched.

Combining postage

There is no problem with postage costs but I don’t know if it will count as all of the items have being shipped as it didn’t use all the qr codes if you know what I mean
