Collection in person

Hi,

I sold an item which I listed as 'Postage or Collection in person'.  I opted to pay postage as the seller via simple delivery. The item has sold and the buyer wants to collect. Money has been taken from my account for postage and a postage label generated.

 

How can I get a refund on the postage. And what do I need to do when the buyer collects. Will they be given a 6 digit code now? If they do have one where do I need to input it?

 

Sorry if I'm being stupid but this is really confusing me!!!

It's a bad idea to try and change postage/collection after purchase.  You won't get delivery/collection confirmation and are unprotected against claims for non arrival/collection. 

 

You should cancel and relist for the buyer to buy again.

 

You usually need to claim a refund for simple delivery labels within 14 days, but one of the conditions is that you sent the item through alternative tracked means so I am not sure how it works here.
