Collection in person

So I sold an item recently and the buyer wants to collect in person. I’ve never done an exchange in person, do I need the buyer to do anything or scan anything to prove he’s had the item so my funds can be made available?

If you had collection on your listing ask the buyer to bring the collection code they will have received with them when they come.  See "Proof of collection" on here:

If you didn't have collection on there you should cancel/refund and relist as collection only for the buyer to buy and pay again.

While it may appear long winded, unless you cancel and resell as a collection item, not only will you have no proof of delivery, buyer could open a not received case to get a refund and keep item.
