Click and collect

Hi all,

how can I cancel Click and Collect? I have it disabled in the preferences, but it is still showing on my listings! The chat with customer service does not work now.

Thanks, Krista

I am not sure that you can cancel Click and Collect when your items are listed with Simple Delivery.

Is there a reason why you don't want to use it?
For many buyers, it is a low cost and convenient option.

Hi Kat.  Can this seller cancel C&C if items are listed with Simple Delivery, please?

Click and collect

Hi,

I have a disability, and the drop-off at Argos is too far for me to get there by bus. It is not feasible for me, Sainsbury is not even anywhere near. I sell just a couple of parcels here and there. Is this related to Simple Delivery? I will have to use the custom delivery services then. Thanks

Click and collect

Hi John,

Yes, I switched that off. It says I am not enrolled, but the Click and Collect still shows on my listings. Some do not have it, but most do. The customer service agent escalated it now because I relisted the item after switching it off, and it still shows there. I am waiting for the response. Thanks

Sending by C&C is no different to posting to buyers home address.

You don't have to take parcel to argos, they won't accept them anyway.

You post to address supplied by eBay when buyer pays.

As advised, you don't take the parcels to Argos or Sainsburys!

How do you normally send?

If, for example, you only use Royal Mail and the postie collects your parcels, they will also take your Click and Collect parcels.

Click and collect

Hi @jckl1957 ,

Thanks for the tag. For Simple Delivery once a listing is eligible click and collect would automatically show as an option. As op is mentioning argos, this looks like its it not Simple Delivery as those ones are through evri and inpost.

@wickedmagpie  for the listings that are only showing this option can you go into them and see if you can select postage only, save and see if that updates on the listings.

Thank you,

Kat

It's odd that it's not disappearing if you've opted out in your postage preferences, I just checked my private account, I've opted out, and it's not showing on any of my listings.

Ok, I didn't know that. So, if there I have the simple delivery, the customer can choose RM, Evri or in post. If they use click and collect, do they choose what courrier it is? How do I know I sent it by Evri or RM? What courier exactly do they pay for? Do they choose?

Unless you, the seller, have de-selected any couriers, then Ebay choose how the item is sent.  So, if for example, you would like your parcels to be collected by the RM postie, you must deselect Inpost and Evri and only use Royal Mail.

At the moment, the buyer can choose an express service but they won't know who will be delivering their parcel.

You have listed quite a few items and they will have to be sent using Simple Delivery.

It is too complex to explain a question at a time.

You need to set aside 30 minutes or so to read about how it works.

The details are in the link below.  Follow all the internal links and read the FAQs before you get into a muddle!
