Certified Program-Warranty Claims-Ebay useless

So, after looking for similar issues, of which there are plenty, it appears that any seller selling anything with a warranty, doesnt need to honour it and ebay dont care!  I bought a mobile through the certified open box program, comes with a 1 year warranty.  Phone has developed a fault and after emails with seller, (which i will mention at some point in the future as a warning to others) returned device.  They have had for over a week with no comms.  They have not replied to any emails asking for an update.  Trying to contact ebay is a joke and because its over 30 days, they dont seem to care!

So i have reported the seller through ebay, as it seems like that's all I can do, but what is the point of a certified program that makes a big deal about having a 1 year warranty if you cant claim support through ebay and the seller ignores you?  Basically there is no point and this "certifed" program is now basically mis-selling by ebay.   Anyone had similar through a certified program?

If you mean item was an ebay approved refurbished item, then you should have had details of how claim on warranty when you bought the item.

As you found MBG is only 30 days.

Thanks. The point is that these "certified" programmes are a nonsense. If you have any issue outside 30 days, you're hoping the seller will honour the warranty. Basically, ebay wash their hands of any responsibility after 30 days. So, it is a form of mis-selling. You think you are covered and then find out you're not. Scam.
