Car listed in wrong category

Hi,

I put my car in an eBay auction 3 days ago and it appears that it has been listed under classic cars (it's not a classic car). I certainly didn't select that category so it must've defaulted to that one? Anyway, when I try to change the category it says that I am unable to do so because someone has already placed a bid.

I cannot even find my own auction when I search so I'm not sure how someone has come across it and bid on it (it should be findable even if it's in the wrong category, so what's that about??).

The person who has bid has not met the reserve price so is there a way I can cancel their bid, thus allowing me to change category?

It's cost me £30 to list my car and it doesn't seem to have adequate visibility and now will not let me correct it to give it more visibility? Is there a helpdesk that I can speak to?

Thanks,

Anthony

75 views and 11 watchers on the Fiat, and you can't revise a listing that has bids.

Best left as it is IMHO

Your car has received a bid and so the listing cannot be revised ---

For information should you decide to relist >

Vehicle listing fees are charged for each listing/relisting whether sold or not and are non refundable --- best to use Classified Ads >

Using a PC/Laptop > Classified Ads. at total fee of £19. 99 will allow the exchange of contact details for viewing and price negotiation over a 30 day period ... set the Start price at or near the price that you would find acceptable --- Avoid inviting Offers which may never complete and just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price ... only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Car keys/documents on buyer collection. No further FVF selling fee is charged.

As the Reserve hasn't been met, you should be able to cancel it and change the category:

However, it's showing lots of views, I don't know if you need to. Totally your call though of course.

Just a heads up for future listings - that listing cost you twice what it should have done because you added a Reserve - if you simply start an auction at the lowest price you'd be happy to accept this effectively acts the exact same way as a reserve (in that your item can't be sold for less than the start price) and costs nothing.
