Cancelling an order after seller rejected it once

Hi all,

I recently bought an item (a trading card) but then requested a cancellation. The seller agreed to cancel, but by mistake clicked the dispatch button and now neither of us can cancel it — we’re both getting the same “can’t cancel” message.

The seller has confirmed they don’t want to post it and I don’t want the order anymore, so we’re both in agreement to cancel. But eBay won’t let either of us process it now.

Is there a way around this without having to wait for the card to be sent to me and then opening a return? Surely there’s a way for eBay to step in and cancel on both our behalf since it’s mutual?

Thanks for any guidance!

Kieran

one day after the last estimated delivery date open a not received case and the seller can refund you through the case.
