Can't mark as dispatched or add my own tracking anymore?

Are you unable to mark something as dispatched and add your own tracking number without using ebays new posting system?

I already had a royal mail collection coming for tomorrow, so instead of doing it through the ebay postage stuff, I just added the second package to be collected through the royal mail site.

But now there's no option to designate that order as dispatched and put the tracking in.

You used to be able to? Surely you're not FORCED to sort the postage out through ebay? It's a mess.

If a Simple Delivery label was initiated that automatically marks an item dispatched,  and below I'll show you how to cancel the unused label for a refund.

To add your own tracking use a laptop / PC not the app or mobile browser,  Chrome works well too, and proceed this way:

• Go to "Orders Paid & Dispatched"
• Click on "View order details"
• Within the "Postage" section there's a small dropdown arrow next to "Track Package" - click on that.
• Click on the "Add tracking" option
• A box will come up with the current tracking number . Delete that and replace it with your tracking.

To cancel and receive a refund for unused SD labels,  it depends who paid for that label.

• If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

• If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.  Also ensure you add the replacement tracking number of the service used, and it shows delivery.

I didn't use simple delivery, I booked the postage and collection through
the royal mail site, so now I'm trying to manually mark the order as
dispatched.

I'm concerned because I didn't do it through ebay that it's going to be
delivered, but ebay will still see it as not posted and cause an issue

You'll need to open the unused label and that will automatically mark the item as dispatched.   Then add the new tracking number via the View Orders link.
