Can't get refund for faulty shoes - seller closed request

I bought a pair of shoes which are faulty.  I requested a return but seller denied my request and told me to put them back on Ebay as it was free. Tried to contact Ebay but impossible it just tells me the case is closed.  WHAT DO YOU PAY BUYER PROTECTION FOR?  Why can't you speak to someone any more?

The seller offered you false information,  and it's eBay's 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy,  this is written on every listing,  right hand side,  that you turn to when receiving a faulty item.

Read about the policy here, so you can save yourself a lot of time and money in the future when buying on eBay:

https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

If you open a case for item not as described,  it can only close if you do not escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in, when there's no refund,  and the case times out.

You cannot open another case for this item with eBay.

Try your payment provider now,  see if they can help with a refund.

Sellers can't refuse refunds for faulty items as long as you start the return within 30 days of purchase, choose the correct reason 'faulty item' and then follow the case up by asking Ebay to step in if the seller doesn't provide a label.

If you follow the procedure, you are guaranteed a refund.

What went wrong with your attempt to return your shoes?
