Can I add 'returns accepted' to a sold item if I forgot to set it up for a listing?

As above, I've worked out how to set up a returns automation for live listings but I forgot to add it for a sold item for an item that I absolutely would accept returns for. I don't think there's gonna be any issues with the item but just in case, is there a way to change this retrospectively? Is that against the rules? Can eBay admin change this retrospectively on my behalf?

Thanks,

No-one can change this for you after the sale.  If there are any issues the buyer can still use the money back guarantee and return the item for a refund.
