Buyers not paying.

More recently I am  finding that a buyer either buys an item, puts in an offer which I then accept but does not pay for it. They don’t respond to my messages either.

Ebay policy states that a buyer is obligated to pay once they commit to buy. There doesn’t appear to be anything to deter buyers from doing this.

as a seller I find this so frustrating. Not only is it frustrating having to chase a payment but when they don’t pay it doesn't look great on me for relisting a ‘sold’ item.
Surely if EBay’s Policy states they are obligated to pay then they should honour this. Where is the deterrant for time wasters.

Buyers not paying.

You can issue an Unpaid Item cancellation after 4 complete days.   That puts a non-payment "strike" on their account.  If they get too many of those ebay will suspend their account.    More info:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/getting-paid/resolving-unpaid-items-buyers?id=4137&st=

Put their ID on your blocked bidder list:

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

And use this link to put a general block on buyers with a history of non-payment, etc.:

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

tick "Update block settings for active listings" and then save changes at the bottom.
