Buyer makes offer which is accepted. Postaged purchased. Buyer wants to cancel purchase.

Hi

I was made an offer for an item i was selling and I accepted the offer. Once the item was paid for I paid for and printed the postage label ( £14.83 ). The buyer has now contacted me saying that he doesn't want the item.

I do not want to cancel the sale and then be £14.83 out of pocket. What should I do?

Did you buy the label through eBay? If so you can claim this expense back by cancelling the label.

it is best to accept the request as the buyer could open a case once they receive forcing you to pay postage return costs. Then you would be out if pocket.

If thr postage label was made through eBay, find your label with this link,  it may take 24 hours for it to appear before you can cancel it.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub and to the left of the sales record there is a drop down menu under 'Actions' click on that , then click on 'Void Label'.

The refund will take between 5 - 21 days to process.

Cancel the item citing Buyer requests to cancel,  then your seller performance will not be affected.
