Sold something, bought a Royal Mail label off Ebay, and sent it off. Parcel was returned to me saying the address was incorrect. A very, very long story short (and no, I will NEVER buy another postage label on Ebay), it turns out that, although most of the address provided was correct, not only did the buyer not have a surname on Ebay, but only the letter F, but she had also omitted to include her flat number. So without a surname or a flat number there was no way for the postie to determine where to deliver the parcel.
I did, after 2 1/2 on the phone with Royal Mail, Ebay, Royal Mail, Ebay and once more Royal Mail, manage to get a refund. I messaged the buyer 3 times explaining exactly what had happened and how much time it had taken me to sort it out, and to provide me with the correct information. She did not respond. Instead, the next day she opened a 'not received' case. I then texted her and said to read and respond to her messages. She eventually did, but did not bother to apologise. The parcel went off again today, with (let's hope, at least) the correct address label. I have blocked her, of course, but cannot seem to report her to Ebay. Surely providing false address information ought to be reportable?
