Buyer changed mind after nearly 1 month

I sold an item at the beginning of October. Buyer paid via eBay straight away.  They messaged to say they would collect 30th October, 3-4pm. (I would have to leave work early for this but agreed as they'd paid so promptly).

They messaged this week changing times. I couldn't accommodate their new proposals.

I suggested several alternative suggestions, none of which suited the buyer.

They now want to cancel the order. Although I still have the item, I am annoyed as I have lost nearly 1 month and my listing started it would be a "collect only".

Obviously I won't keep money if they aren't going to collect but there actions are unethical, surely?

They are a business and negative feedback from me won't effect them much. I am a private seller and negative feedback would impact on me. Also they have my home address!

Does anyone know eBay's policy on this?

Thanks in advance!

There is no ebay policy as such.

My advice would be to cancel as they have requested.   Otherwise they could open a case for item not received.

The ball is in their court as far as feedback goes.  Sellers can't leave buyers negative feedback,  I.e negative comments on a green dot.
