Hi
I need some advise please, I have a air conditioning unit for sell over £300, one buyer insist to buy (not yet) and will arrange DPD to collect it, as a seller do I have any protection if anything gone wrong ?
I had a very bad experience 5 years ago sold a TV then buyer opened a claim said it faulty and requested refund, then buyer said it too expensive and bulky to return, so me and my husband drove 1 and half hour to his address and found out same TV but different serial number, because lucky I took few pictures of the serial number and the model number to proof that’s faulty TV not the same I sold to him
I am just curious that will happen again
Please kindly advise

In theory if buyer arranges collect they have no buyer protection, also unless buyer supples you with the number ebay give, you would in any case have no evidence of delivery.
Buyer could open a not received case and you would have to prove to ebay that buyer did not collect in person, which could prove difficult, as you would have no proof at all of collection.
To be absolutely safe I think you should decline and insist on collection in person, if not cancel sale using reason “buyer requested something not offered”.

As they haven't purchased yet block them from your listings so they cannot buy from you,add their username here
