Is bidding for items ie £1.71 the norm now, really annoying

If you are seeing odd prices for  seller's items,  this is out of their control,  eBay's Buyer Protection Fee is being added.

In the new not so wonderful system, buyers see one price sellers see the real price.

Same supplies to offers, buyer offers £5, seller gets off of £4.11.

 It can be very confusing as depending on device used a seller may be shown either amount, with a comment saying the amount shown includes the buyer fees, or buyer also  pays the fees.

I agree it is probably BPF, 

But a lot of buyers will bid odd amounts anyway to beat other bidders.
