Hello out there I purchased a battery powered ratchet screwdriver in January only to be told in may four months later that there was a safety issue and not to use it. Contacted eBay they advised me to contact the seller I did this on the same day guess what, no reply. eBay told me that it was out of the thirty days return window I accept that but four months later , really? why wasn't I told earlier. I have now been trying to get in touch with the seller six times but have had no response, yesterday I looked on eBay website and saw that the same seller is selling other ratchet screwdrivers I wonder if other people will be in the same place as myself, eBay suggested that I try the citizens advice but without any addresses known they can't help anyone else in the same situation

It's still within 120 days of payment contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.

eBay seem to be being overly scrupulous about issuing these warnings when they never used to. We've had a lot of people recently saying it's happening with all sorts of items. Most have been using the items for months without any problem. If you do want to try it obviously take precautions.
