App constantly going back to start page

Hi all. Every time I leave the eBay app then go back, it’s as if it restarts from the home page. I used to be able to search for something, then check another app, (eg model specifications) then go back to eBay and the item I was looking at would still be showing. Now, it's like the app is restarting constantly. Anyone else dealing with this? Anyway to stop it? Thanks.

Thank you for your post.

We have checked the app and it seems to be working ok. When an item is searched and we go away from the app, it goes back to the item when returning to the app. Try deleting recent cache and data > settings on phone> apps> storage> clear data/clear cache.

Check to see your are updated to the latest app version.

The latest version for android is 6.249.2.1 ( requires android 12 or later)

The latest version for ios is 6.250.0 ( requires ios 18 or later)

Hi Kat,

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. 
There isn’t a straightforward way to clear the cache of an app on an iPhone, so I deleted the app then reinstalled it. 
So far, that seems to be doing the trick.
