Anyone experienced Royal Mail UK not agreeing with ebay recommended postal charges?

Hi - I welcome any feedback/advice on this.  I sold an item which ebay suggested was a small parcel and paid for the appropriate postage label.  Royal Mail decided it was a large letter instead so after a delay with delivery, charged the sender (and ultimately me) extra costs.  Has anyone else experienced this please? Thank you.  A

Can you amplify what you mean please?

It really does not matter what "eBay" suggests as they do not see the physical parcel.  The seller is responsible to assess the correct postage and service.

A small parcel costs me more than a large letter so why would RM charge more?
