Another Sunday, another time waster buyer.

Evening all

So for the second time in a week I've had someone decide an hour or so before my auction ends that they have "made a mistake" and don't want the item that they bid on 4 or 5 days ago. Last time it was actually after the auction ended, so I suppose this one is a slight improvement.  In other words have changed their mind - even though that isn't a valid reason to want to cancel on the day or after the auction has ended. I am cross about it as I had other people watching. This time I am making it their problem to request to cancel instead of me doing the running. I will block the buyer for future but is there any point in insisting she pays? I guess not as even though I don't accept returns, she'll probably find some invisible flaw and put me through the hassle of accepting her return. What are eBay doing to prevent this sort of bad behaviour amongst buyers? What protection do we have as sellers?

On day 4 you can cancel as unpaid,

Buyer gets a strike (not viewable), neither of you can then leave feedback.

It always will work out cheaper however annoying it is, to cancel, preferably after 4 days for non payment, then it gives “buyer” an unpaid strike and sellers can block any member with two or more unpaid strikes.

If item sold you can if appropriate make an offer to the underbidder.
