An item I bought by mistake as it is a collect in person the seller does not accept returns.

So the seller does not accept returns even though I am not collecting it in person. (The round trip is hundreds of miles). I've tried to contact the seller but no response. Without the QR. code there is no sale. There doesn't seem to be any information on ebay regarding such a problem. What can I do?

You can't start a return because you will never have the item to return.

After a week, you can open an 'item not received' case and the seller will have to refund you.
