Am i in the wrong? Vinyl stickers order

Hi all,

I want to see if I am in the wrong here because I dont believe I am but wanted to check before I do anything else.

I ordered stickers for my horsebox, 3 names of horses. Ordered 100mm height x UP TO 550mm 

ALIGNMENT 

HALIGWELL HARRIER 

HALIGWELL LAND CRUISER 

I said length as long as it comes out as, because I dont know the length it would be as 3 names have different number of letters and listing said UP TO 550mm so assumed it would be adjusted depending on number of letters.

When they arrived one is clearly larger letters. They have been stretched or compressed to fit the max sticker size. You can see the difference in the G for example on the names.

When they are next to each other they wont look the same, the font doesnt look the same and looks silly one is much fatter.

The seller said I got what I paid for and if I wanted them different lengths I should of said that.

I feel its self explanatory if one has more letters its longer? 

I feel as they were ordered together they should all look the same as it is written on a screen, all letters same width and one name is shorter.

Am I wrong for not thoroughly explaining or do you think the names should look more matching with letters same width? Even if that meant the shorter name was also compressed but shorter in length that would of looked better.

He is being funny with me now about it, I just want the horsebox to look smart and I wanted them to reprint the larger letter one to match but he wont.

Any opinions?

Your attachment does not open, another glitch no doubt. One thought, to get all the letters same size it might have been better to have “Cruiser” as a separate word.

I do think it would have been best perhaps to have spoken to seller first if possible or explain what your requirements were wanted for. 

You could possibly open a Not as described case, to return for a refund

If i had ordered cruiser as a different word it would of been longer than the 550mm I wanted and that word and letters would also be fatter, stretched to fit.

I expected the 3 words to line up as they are written

But all3 names font have been manipulated to fit 100x550mm

They certainly look pretty awful and I don't know why this wasnt obvious to the seller.

There's clearly been a misunderstanding about the length, but on whose part it's impossible to say without seeing the listing.

You can try opening a not as described case under eBay's money back guarantee. They tend to take the buyer's word for faults and would probably support you.

Otherwise you can only put up with them, or scrap them.

Buyers need to select a font size and style for their sticker.

If you specified a size and style and the seller has gone off piste, I'd open an eBay return and get a full refund.

I stated colour, and font and wrote

in the notes section.

The seller is saying if I wanted them different lengths I should have specified which length I wanted each to be but to me the length is dictated by the number of letters... I did not realise the font would be compacted or stretched to fit the maximum size which is what he has done

Yes I did not state each ones size but he also did not send a proof or ask if I wanted them different letter sizes to fit

So I dont really know who's in the wrong
