All my international sales sell at 16.65% less than the asking price.

Hi all.

This has been a bit of a saga, and have been on to eBay many times, and for years have not sold internationally because of this issue.

All the items I sell, the buyers pays less than the selling price, I have checked this out and it would appear the price is always 16.65% less than the sale price, even if I have sent offers, the price is still reduced by the same amount.

I have been told it is VAT, but that has never really fitted due to the percentage, but I am now de regulated and the issue persists.

Anyone have any ideas? It appears everyone is stumped by this!

Below is an example of a sold item it sold for £50, and what the buyer paid is less.

£41.67 + 20% £8.33 = £50

I know little about VAT, but it seems to me that your prices include VAT, and an overseas buyer. gets to buy VAT free.

You are not receiving any VAT so nothing to pay to the VATman.
