Added VAT tax on purchase from Bulgaria shipped to Canada?

Is there a Tax of any sort added onto the final cost of my offer and shipping for a purchase from Bulgaria being shipped to Canada?  I've asked the seller but they didn't know.  Thank you.

We are in the UK so wouldn't know the answer.  

Many countries have import or local taxes that are applied at checkout.

You are in Canada, it is up to you to know your own Country’s Import Taxes, and whether if any, they would be collected by ebay, or which ever Company delivers in Canada.
