Accepting a bid and ending the bid before it's due

Any advice please? I have had a bid on an item which was a little lower than the reserve price and the Buy It Now price. I wish to accept this bid now and don't wish to wait for the bid to end. It's because of timeframes and I need the item removed in a timely manner due to building works. I can only seem to amend the Reserve Price but I still can't accept the bid. Do I have to wait until the bid runs out of time; or I could end the listing and the bid is lost, then recreate the listing with the Buy It Now price? Or any other way to just accept the bid that I have? Any tips appreciated, thanks

The bid is £1000.

I assume that the bidder is prepared to pay more.  However, their bid will not increase unless somebody else outbids them.

The 'buy it now' price does not apply once a bid has been made and does not show on your listing.

Ebay's advice is essentially to ask the buyer to withdraw their bid.

Then you will be able to amend the BIN price and the buyer will be able to purchase the kitchen at your agreed price.

'If your listing isn't eligible to be ended early, you can contact any bidders to explain the situation and ask them to retract their bids. If the auction has finished, you can contact the winner and, if they agree, you can cancel the order.'
