funds from sales used to go into paypal account ,its now asking me to update bank details and how my funds will be paid to me is this safe ?

Ebay are changing the way payments are being made,to managed payments,so now instead of items being paid into your paypal account as a seller they will go directly into your chosen bank account,hence they ask you to sign up and update your details,see here,

Yes that's correct. Ebay and PayPal have parted company. Ebay now have their own Payment System. Enter Managed Payments into Help and Contact at the top or very foot of the Page for the full details.

You can still Buy through PayPal but not Sell.

Many members are wanting  a different bank account to receive their payouts, so eBay require you to confirm your nominated bank account, so they know the correct one you wish your payouts to be sent to, may well be a different one to the one registered currently with eBay.
