so it seems i bought a fake wind turbine,
after days of the seller haggling and offering a percentage they have now accepted my return, how ever they cant/wont provide a shipping label, but instead want me to pay the £30 postage and they will re emburse me.
Im not spending £30 to return an item that i feel ive been scammed with.
there isnt an option to have ebay step in and the item needs to be returned by the 24th of July or i wont get a refund.
there isnt any means to contact ebay as it just takes me round in circles to the return prosses
Is there anything i can do?
EDIT! It's not a "return" [where you have to pay postage] it is a "Not as described case". If you have opened a "return" case then you will not get another chance with eBay.
If this is a foriegn seller [Far East] then there is no way that we know of whereby you can get a label to return.
If it is UK you must stop all this argument with seller [so that you do not run out of time]. You simply open a case with eBay for "not as described" the instant that you find the problem. That notifies him and eBay. You will get a label to return. If you do not then - having opened the case - you escalate after 23 full business days.
If it is a foreign seller you can register with Paypal https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns
and open a case with them [within 180 days]. If this is the case then ignore all messages that he will lose his job, house or family
Item location in listing shown as Leicester ?; then it returns to Leicester ... IF your eBay case fails to progress and you paid through eBay checkout using a Card or available funds, you may have more success if you use the PayPal Resolution Centre to raise an 'Item not as described' (Replica/Not Brand advertised) case there ... otherwise contact your Bank Card issuer for advice >
Even if you use eBay's money back guarantee, you will probably still have to pay the return postage - whatever eBay's money back guarantee policy states.
EBay seems to all over the place about this. We have heard from UK sellers who have been told by eBay that they must somehow arrange and pay for items to be retutrned from the USA or Europe, but I don't think we have ever heard of a seller in China being made to do the same for returns from the UK.
Addendum - if the item was located in Leicester, problem solved. The seller will be required to provide a prepaid return label. If only people would give us full information when asking questions!
i paid via debit card
chinese seller but return postage to leister uk
