I've been asked what the reserve is - should I reveal it
That's up to you.
Surely it's sensible to tell them what the reserve price is, otherwise you could lose the sale because they bid even a pound too low.
Don't forget that even if the item doesn't sell, you will still be charged a fee of 4% of the reserve price.
Reserves are expensive and usually pointless. Next time, why not just start the bidding at the lowest price you would be willing to accepr?
