selling for charity

HI there,

I'm relatively new to this game, so need all the help I can get, please!

I am selling some items for charity and have been sending the money I earn directly to said charity.  Ebay have invoiced me and I have replied saying that I've already paid.  I know I aren't doing it correctly, but I need to recoup my postage costs before paying the money over.

Another thing I don't understand - Ebay have pushed me into having my 'takings' paid into my bank rather than into PayPal and yet they want me to pay my charity invoices via PayPal, when there is now absolutely no money in there!

I have tried to speak to someone at Ebay, but no joy.

Help!

As far as I an see you are not doing much right.

Only by using the DONATE TO CHARITY on the listing form does this  work properly, and ebay for example if you donate 50% ebay reduce the fees by 0%.

This is done automatically and is donations are made through paypal, you don't pay over the money.

You will not get fees refunded doing it your way.

You should also read about Managed Payments, money received goesto your bank account AFTER fees have been deducted and you should not be getting any invoices for fees, unless you are not fully on Managed Payments.

By ebay's definition you should also be registered as a Business Seller as you are selling NEW items and have more than one..

I suggest you go to HELP & CONTACT and enter Donating to Charity, and read how it works and then do it properly, through Ebay and Paypal.
