seller not received money

Hi, hope someone can help 

I've just bought a tent from a private seller and paid imediatley with paypal. He's saying the money has not been received yet and can take up to 72 hours with the new system. the only issue is that i need to collect the tent tomorrow and he obvioulsy won't let it go without the money

does this sound right?

Seller will be on Managed Payments and if posting is told he has been paid and to post so the same appliesto collection items.

Money goes through Managed Payments and assoon as they have it item is paid for. there may be a day or two before money is in Bank account, but it is on its way. Sorry but many  sellers making heavy weather of what is a very simple system.  They were happy to part company with an item if money was with Paypal (Not their bank), but for some reason don't like money being held by Managed payments where it is absolutely safe.

Seller only needs to read his Seller Hub Page, and look in PAYMENTS to see that he has been paid.

Thanks for that, he just sent me a screenshot to say the money would only be with him at the end of July so we've both agreed to cancel the order

He is on the managed payments which does mean ebay takes the payment and takes off their fees and then sends the money to the seller

It can take a few days

Really collection items should be cash on collection and inspection

When ebay take the  money they do tell the seller it is safe to send

Did they have cash on collection on the listing
