Yet again, I have a seller not conforming to the eBay rules and cancelling my bid ( after it was visible from day 1 of the auction) and the excuse he gave was because there was an error in the listing. I have studdied the listing and cvan see no error in it at all. The description says exactly what they are selling. Just another ploy to get a higher price. This is putting me right off eBay now.
the 'error' was the probably the price
sellers are allowed to cancel bids and end listings, so they haven't broken any rules,
ebay charge a fee based on the highest bid cancelled when sellers do this
A seller can cancel bids.
I agree, this does not inspire one to carry on buying from that same seller, I'd be tempted to move onto to another perhaps selling the same item in a Buy it Now / Fixed Price format?
