returns on items that are sold under "for parts not working"

has anyone ever successfully over turned a return in this criterea?

i've had 2 items returned recently that were sold as spares or repair and the condition selected for each item was "for parts not working".

i don't mind accepting the return, what i do mind is the buyers being able to seleect "item defective" as an option for the return. as soon as that option is selected the seller gets hit with the return postage costs. why is that even an option for a return when selling items under the condition "for parts not working"?

anyhows, i will just take another postage cost on the chin even though on online chat eBay stated that a previous buyer had made a false claim and i would not get charged for the postage. 2 days later, postage charged against my account lol.
